Tell Tennessee Lawmakers: NO on Voucher Expansion!

Tennessee’s voucher program is operating as a $150-million black box. Unlike public schools, private schools taking vouchers aren’t required to report who they serve, how funds are used, or whether students are actually learning. Families are being asked to trust a program that refuses to show even the most basic data. There’s no income verification, no accountability standards, and no way to track results.

Now lawmakers want to expand this program even further, pouring millions more into a system with no transparency and no guardrails. Tennesseans deserve to know where their tax dollars are going and whether children are being served. Until the state provides real oversight, real reporting, and real accountability, expanding vouchers is reckless and irresponsible.
